THE VDP WEINGUT FRITZ HAAG

Led by Oliver and Jessica Haag, VDP.member estate Weingut Fritz Haag is located in the heart of the central Mosel River Valley.

Wines from its 29 hectares of vineyards stand for tradition, precision, and Rieslings from Brauneberg’s fi nest sites. The Haag family has been making wines here since 1605, although at the time the town was known as Dusemond (‘Sweet Mountain’).

It was renamed “Brauneberg” in 1925 to emphasize its connection to the famous “Brauneberger Juffer” and “Brauneberger Juffer- Sonnenuhr” sites.

From Thomas Jefferson and Theodor Fontane to the English royalty in Buckingham Palace, the Brauneberger
Juffer has for centuries offered quintessential Riesling joy of the highest degree.

Napoleon himself considered the site one of the pearls of the Mosel.
