Henkenberg (Oberrotweil) ; volcanic weathered rock

 Vinification:

7 days of cold maceration, several weeks of controlled maceration in wooden vats, 18 months of ageing in barriques (30% first use, 70% second and third use), bottled unfiltered.

 Tasting Notes:

Still slightly closed on the nose, rosehip, wild raspberry, cherry and currant, herbal and spicy notes, wet earth, also yeast. Youthful on the palate with good potential, clearly defined contours, good, forward energy fed by minerality, dry, uncompromising, fine saltiness, some sloe, and tannins that are ripe for further development.

 Recommendation: 16-18° C, great storage potential
