The VDP winery Toni Jost has been defining wine culture on the Middle Rhine for nearly 200 years. Founded in 1831, the winery is now run by the seventh generation, Cecilia Jost, as a family estate.

On 15 hectares of vineyards, wine is cultivated on both sides of the Rhine, primarily on steep slopes. These slopes, with gradients of up to 70%, are planted with the classic grape varieties Riesling and Pinot Noir.

Slate, Rhine, and Riesling – this triad shapes the character of the Toni Jost winery's wines. Climatically protected in the narrow gorge of the Rhine valley, the vines thrive on Devonian slate. This particular location in the northern wine-growing region guarantees an especially long ripening season, promoting a distinctive grape aroma.

Bacharacher Hahn (Monopoly Vineyard)
Our monopole vineyard, Bacharacher Hahn, with its VDP.GROSSE LAGE IM HAHN (Grand Cru Im Hahn), is located downstream from Bacharach directly on the Rhine. With its large water surface and steep slopes, it offers the best possible microclimate for producing mineral-driven and elegant Rieslings with great aging potential.

Kabinett
Fruity, light wines made from fully ripe grapes harvested with natural residual sugar perfectly reflect the character of the Middle Rhine. Full of elegance and irresistible lightness, these classic German wines demonstrate the potential of Riesling, cultivated in Germany's northernmost wine-growing region.
