About us

Affentaler Winzer eG was founded in 1908 as Naturweinbauverein Affental. This makes the company one of the oldest winegrowers' associations in Germany.

The Affentaler vines thrive in the Ortenau region of Baden around the town of Bühl on the western foothills of the Black Forest. Loess and granite weathered soil gives the Affental wines their unmistakable character. The traditional monkey bottle has been a trademark of the company since 1949. Thanks to this unique bottle and the excellent wine quality, ‘Affentaler’ is one of the best-known wine brands in Germany.

Since 2018, the catchment area of the Affentaler winegrowers has expanded to include the vineyards of the neighbouring town of Baden-Baden. The wines produced here are marketed via the Baden-Badener Weinhaus am Mauerberg.

Delicate – juicy – masterful
Curtain up for this terroir-driven Riesling with its exotic fragrance. Ripe mango and invigorating passion fruit aromas come to the forefront. Perfectly balanced between sweetness and fresh, vibrant acidity.
A wonderful companion to mildly spiced Asian cuisine and poultry. Also pairs beautifully with fruity dessert variations.

Neuweierer Mauerberg Riesling Reserve 2024 dry

„Reserve“ stands for absolute top-quality wines in our selection. Selected winegrowers, yield-reduced vineyards with a special microclimate, sun-drenched south-facing slopes, and hand-picked grapes are the foundation of this Riesling. It pairs excellently with fish, shellfish and dishes with white meat. But even outside of meals, the king of white wines shines through its invigorating aroma.

Neuweierer Mauerberg Riesling 2024 Spätlese dry

Elegance defines this wine, which is made from healthy, ripe grapes. It brings the full fruit to the glass and shines with its freshness. A lively wine with a great balance of sweetness and acidity and a very persistent finish. It pairs excellently with lobster, scallops, fish, lightly spiced dishes, pork and smoked meats.
