Villa Hochdörffer GmbH
About us
Weingut Villa Hochdörffer is a gem set at the heart of the Südpfalz, a corner of Germany close to the French border that enjoys nothing more than bringing a dose of gourmet fun and hospitality into life’s daily tête-à-têtes. Working roughly 50 hectares of vines around the historic winegrowing village of Nussdorf, the Hochdörffer family has shown a fine touch for producing elegant, delicately fruity wines.
Or in the words of international wine journalist Paula Sidore: the wines pay testament to a “fine signature and subtlety” and are “notably concentrated on the essential.” And it’s a pleasure to explore them.

Riesling "Kalkstein" dry
This elegant, delicate yellow Riesling exudes the fresh, slightly tart scent of grapefruit, lemon and green apple at the first moment you sniff it. Only gradually does the complex bouquet unfold its fullness: first with the exotic scent of pineapple, then with the characteristic yellow fruits of apricot and peach, accompanied by a touch of brioche. On the palate, these aromas are supported by a well-integrated, mineral acidity typical of limestone soils; in the finish, fresh citrus notes dominate the complex body.
You make me happy - Secco
Bottled good mood! For breakfast, lunch, dinner or even for no occasion at all: the fruity Secco “You make me happy” is always a sparkling pleasure!
Weißer Burgunder Löss trocken / Pinot blanc loess dry
In the nose of this light yellow Pinot Blanc, the scent of ripe pear and honeydew melon blends harmoniously with the spring-like floral scents of hawthorn and daffodils, while a hint of honey already hints at the delicate melting on the palate. A soft, creamy mouthfeel combines with the fruity aromas of the fragrance and a good mineral structure supported by a soft, lively acidity. The fruity finish makes you want the next glass.
Grauer Burgunder "Löss" dry
The golden-yellow color already hints at the abundance of aromas our Pinot Gris from loess has to offer: ripe fruit aromas of pear, quince, and cantaloupe melon combine with delicate toasted notes and the fresh fruit tones of passion fruit and grapefruit to create a complex, multi-layered bouquet. On the palate, the lovely interplay of acidity and fruit is complemented by a very well-integrated, vanilla note. The long finish and the complex, smooth body leave you wanting more.
