About us

As a family-run winery with more than 300 years of winemaking-tradition, we are deeply rooted in Nierstein, Rheinhessen. On nearly 30 hectares of vineyards – including about five hectares in the renowned “Roter Hang” with sites such as Pettenthal, Hipping, and Schloss Schwabsburg – we craft wines that express a clear sense of origin and individuality.

At the heart of our range lies Riesling from the Roter Hang, complemented by Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Pinot Noir. For us, quality begins in the vineyard: careful, sustainable viticulture, selective hand harvesting, and gentle winemaking form the foundation for our expressive, characterful wines.

A strong family team shapes our winery. Today, Stefan, Daniel, and Stefanie Huff manage the estate together – bringing different perspectives, yet sharing one vision: to create honest, authentic wines that present Rheinhessen in a contemporary way.

We are looking forward meeting you at Wine Paris / Vinexpo Paris 2025 and sharing our wines with you.

Single-Vineyard Wines

Single Vineyard Wines

Our vineyards on the “Roter Hang” – Pettenthal, Hipping and Schloss Schwabsburg – are known for precise, mineral-driven Rieslings with a clear sense of origin. The red clay-slate soils shape the wines with spice, salty minerality and cool freshness.
Above the Pettenthal site lies the Rosenberg – this is where our Pinot Noirs grow, benefiting from the cooler hillside location and its distinctive microclimate.

Estate wines

Our estate wines focus on clear varietal expression and straightforward drinking pleasure. They are fresh, approachable and unpretentious – a reliable introduction to our style and the character of our winery.

village wines

Our village wines clearly express the character of their origin. They come from low-yield vineyards and are partly aged in wooden barrels. This gives them depth, structure and a juicy, precise fruit profile – an authentic reflection of where they come from.
