Weingut Stigler
About us
Two generations on 16 hectares of vines currently stand for winery Stigler: Regina and Andreas Stigler in 4th generation are handing over to their son Maximilian and his wife Jessica. They aim to lead the winery into 5th generation with full enthusiasm, fresh thinking paired with the family tradition.
30% Pinot Noir shares handcrafted vineyards with the typical varieties of Baden: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. Andreas stands for his mineral Riesling and was planting Chenin Blanc firstly in Germany; complemented with e.g. Silvaner or Cabernet Franc and premium sparkling wine with long ageing on the lees (méthod traditionelle).
Our STIGLER wines have a pronounced character of their origin. They are elegant, terroir driven, showing their origin purely and concentrated with crisp acidity. Due to very careful work with our grapes of the approach on highest quality, our wines have an extraordinary aging potential.

méthode tarditionelle | 50 month on the lees
We harvest the grapes for our sparkling wine from our own vineyards on the Ihringer Fohrenberg & Winklerberg, which were planted specifically for sparkling wine production. The base cuvée consists of 100% Chardonnay and is fermented using the traditional bottle fermentation method (= méthode traditionnelle). A long yeast storage period defines and characterises our sparkling wines with structure, elegance and a very fine, creamy mousse.
Our sparkling wine is not a classic aperitif sparkling wine. We prefer to enjoy our Blanc and Rosé sparkling wines throughout the evening, with food as well as before and after. Try it for yourself: our BLANC DE BLANCS unfolds wonderfully in large wine glasses, and you will be amazed at how beautifully a bottle-fermented sparkling wine matured on the lees can be ‘more’ than just a cold glass to welcome your guests...
