With a very rich wine-growing tradition dating back to 1509, Weingut Spiess is one of the more traditional and historic wineries in Rheinhessen Germany.

Our major grape varieties are Riesling, Pinot Noir and white burgundy varietals such as Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay but also some special wines from Syrah.

We cultivate 43 hectares of south facing vineyards in a warm southern part of Rheinhessen. These vineyards offer ideal conditions for juicy, complex wines with elegant charm and each bottle of our wines also reflects the region’s unique blend of warmth, fertile loess-clay soils and calcareous substratum terroir.

Through our focus on premium quality, we have established ourselves as the front runner among the Rheinhessen wine producers over the past 20 years and are able to offer wine lovers all over the world the highest level of enjoyment.
