Weingut Stauffer
About us
The Stauffer winery has a lot of tradition, experience and history: the Family has been growing wine in Rheinhessen for around 400 years and lives on a former monasterial estate.
The Stauffer vineyards are located on limestone-rich soils around Flomborn and the neighboring village of Eppelsheim. The roots of the vines, which are up to 90 years old, dig deep into these mineral soils, providing a high potential for great wines. Today, the vineyard area covers almost 18 hectares.
The experience, the soils and our high quality standards lead to crisp, clear and minerality driven whites, while the red wines are full-bodied, full-flavored and highly ageable.
The conversion to certified organic viticulture began in 2018 and all wines have been certified organic since the 2021 vintage.
