About us
Weingut Weinreich lies in the Wonnegau district of the Rheinhessen wine region. With a Wonnegau address and a name like Weinreich (literal translation: "rich with wine"), your choice is pretty clear: dedicate your life to viniculture. And that is exactly what we've done.
Although the reins to our winery were handed over to the young generation of winemakers in 2009, we have continued using the traditional methods that would have been well familiar to our grandfather. We are dedicated to utilizing environmentally sustainable practices in the vineyards, manual harvests, and minimal interventionist winemaking. This commitment allows us to grow wines that truly express the individual character of the Bechtheim vineyards. These wines tell the story of winemaker and origin — wines with a unique sense of place — yet they can only come when the natural conditions of the soil and vineyard are respected.
We have consciously limited our collection, opting instead for fewer choices, a return to the basics, and clearer distinctions between the wines. Our focus is on 3 varietals: Riesling, Scheurebe and Burgunder (the Pinot family).

Riesling trocken
Wonderfully refreshing, fruity and just plain fun. Ripe apples and fresh herbs dominate the nose, followed by racy acidity with a mineral twist. Those willing to linger a few extra moments with this wine will be sure to get their money's worth.
Weissburgunder & Chardonnay
Get ready for this wine to perform a wedding dance on your tongue. The characteristics of both grape varieties blend to create rich, ripe notes of honeydew melon. With subtle acidity, full-bodied flavor, and a bushel of playful nuances, this delightful blend will both charm and surprise you.
Bechtheim Riesling
The terroir of Bechtheim's finest vineyard site lends itself to a very special Riesling as golden in personality as it is in the glass. It wins hearts and minds with notes of spice and fruit. Ripe notes of peach and apple combine with minerality on the palate to create a bright, velvety mouthfeel. A word of warning: the sunny disposition of this Riesling is contagious.
Geyersberg Riesling
The Geyserberg is counted among the finest vineyard sites in Rheinhessen. Only the ripest of the grapes are harvested from it. The long vine-ripening and extended yeast contact lend this special wine delicate, creamy nuances. It entices and entrances us through its limestone minerality and complex and sophisticated acidity.
Cuvée MINERAL brut
Made in the traditional method (méthode classique) and riddled by hand, this sparkler will inevitably evoke champagne-comparisons from the first sip. With delicate toasty notes, sophisticated acidity, a bewitching minerality and a fine steady perlage, this sparkler meets and exceeds the expectations.
